Didn't feel like goin' fancy on this one
And YES, there is a DIFFERENCE between bashing a person's DD and critiquing them. I've actually got a stamp on critiquing too =w=
Anyway, onto the actual subject in this stamp. I figured I'd just copy and paste the info since there will be people who don't bother to follow the link I give o____o"
FAQ #873: What do I do when I disapprove of a Daily Deviation feature?
A Daily Deviation is intended to give an artist a chance to be seen by a large portion of the community and as not everyone has the same tastes, it is obvious that you may not appreciate every piece that is selected as a daily deviation.
If you have a problem with a particular Daily Deviation feature, do NOT leave your disapproval among the other comments on the piece. It is disrespectful to the artist featured, the person who chose it and/or the person that suggested it.
If you absolutely must voice your disapproval of a selected feature, feel free to note $Moonbeam13 however, unless the image violates policy in some way, it is highly unlikely it will be removed.
In severe cases, if you "flame" or harass a featured artist, you may be banned.
Yeah. Really.
I'm tired of going onto one of the most recent DD artworks and seeing comments whining and/orbitching complaining about how that artwork shouldn't get a DD.
Especially on the stock images
I mean, yeah, what if you feel as if that piece shouldn't get a DD. Is it really necessary to go on that person's artwork and bash it?
Now, I'm not saying EVERYONE does this. I've seen people being much more courteous and thoughtful-- and while they comment that they feel as if that person shouldn't get a DD, they still congratulate them.
Or the people that leave a thoughtful critique that doesn't bash the artist but gives them tips and/or points out things that could be or need to be improved. You know, like how a true critique should be written.
Is it really necessary to bash and flame the artist? All it does is make you look immature-- plus, you're also breaking the rules. As it says for severe cases in the FAQ up there: you could get banned.
Anyway, that's my rant for today :3
PLEASE NOTE: I know I'm going to get people coming on here and saying "well there ARE pieces of art that don't deserve it, bla bla bla"-- well, my reply is quoting the following from the FAQ: "not everyone has the same tastes, it is obvious that you may not appreciate every piece that is selected as a daily deviation."
Even if a large majority of people feel the same way, in the end, there is still someone or a group of people out there that feel the opposite (no duh, how else would it get a DD)
Please be mature in your comments =w="
